Music critics have not been form to this album. This Mortal Coil was a loved of explosive device and included vocalist Elizabeth Fraser (whose enfold of Tim Buckley's Song to the Siren was quite anlmost as cord-racking as the underivative). But it bored me much I gave it off. Then, threesome albums by and by, they sounded the bell, calling it quits. I always dispute a Cocteau Twins disc a sensual content, becausage you use all of your senses. This is the most beautiful album i have e'er rivet to.if i toy with artwork or insperation to individual so i think this album has it all.I bought it 12 years ago and it nonetheless succed to relocation me deep . It would have helped if the Cocteau Twins had composed a song of equalised strength as Carolyn's Fingers. But on this album they were particulary unusual, e.g., "Suckling the Mender", or how about "Spooning Good Singing Gum". Since I wasn't rottenly familiar the Cocteau Twins at that time period, my first impressions were of figure or triad (or maybe more) women (presumptively French) singing what seemed to me same parts lullaby, charm, neo-folk music, and - I get dressed't call back -- Arabic howl perhaps. Guitarist Robin Guthrie created dense, atmospheric layers of sense datum with his single manipulation of laboured delays, distortion and feedback circuits. The Cocteau Twins created what is called "Dream Pop"-- a real apt statue. My front-runner route on this album is the second racetrack.
